Fredericksburg is a charming little town. All the shops had lovely Christmas window displays - not quite NYC, but very charming none the less.
The Rappahannock River. George Washington's parents had a farm nearby and this is where the legend of him throwing the silver dollar across the river and chopping down the cherry tree were born.

It was a lovely blue sky day. Not too cold either - heavy jumpers were enough to keep us warm.
