Well it snowed....not a great deal - about and inch or two - but steadily over the course of the day. It is blinking cold tonight! The really strange thing is that the weather is predicted to turn warmer again at the weekend. About 21C!! Its difficult to believe that you can be wrapped up in boots, scarves and coats like Nanook of the North one day, and a couple of days later be in shorts!!!
I'm blaming Andy Keene for the snow. He said today that it always snowed when he was in Washington. Obviously this little cold snap is down to his presence!! He was here without Bruciebaby which was obviously a disappointment to me, but it was still nice to see him. Hopefully he made it to the airport in good time, as traffic was slowing down dramatically over the course of the day. Rudy was telling me that people forget what to do when the first snow comes and they panic - after they've had a couple of snows under their belts they get back to normal.... He gave me a run home - in a pretty heavy flurry - and drove the whole way at a cracking pace and, in the typical DC fashion, about 9 feet away from the car in front! Actually, that's probably not fair...it was snowing...people were leaving maybe 10 feet between cars!!!!
