Our visitors had a bit of a day on Monday... they had decided to head off to Skyline Drive so we packed them off with instructions, maps and a fully programmed
SatNav as we were staying local and going to watch the President's Day Parade through Old Town. We didn't hear from them all day and assumed that they were having a truly fabulous time. It turns out their day wasn't panning out quite as well as we'd thought....
They got a little lost, made a few wrong turns, ignored the
SatNav lady who was probably in full-on,
irritating as hell, nagging mode and eventually ended up getting onto the Outer Loop of the Beltway rather than the Inner Loop, and driving 60 miles in the wrong direction. Oops! An easy mistake to make if you don't know your way around very well.
