A couple of months ago the "Low Tyre Pressure" light came on in the dash. Stephen checked the tyre pressure, said they were fine, and took the Escape to the dealership to get them to check the faulty sensor. The light went out for a week or two, then reappeared. We've been ignoring it for the past few weeks, but he took it back today as it was due an oil change too.
Bobby-Ray did the service and told Stephen he'd fixed the Tyre Pressure sensor problem. My little mechanical genius asked what the problem was and how they'd fixed it. They had simply inflated the tyres to the correct pressure. Apparently it was something to do with the drop in temperature, and a lot to do with the fact that Stephen didn't check properly what pressure they should actually be! So, when he thought they were right and the sensor was faulty they were actually wrong and the sensor was fine....
